The first nation-wide barter company was founded by M.J. (Mac) McConnell & Norma Heberer. It began in Los Angeles, California back in 1960. Business Exchange was then sold to Business Exchange International (BXI). The name ‘Business Exchange’ was acquired by Alan Elias as the parent company went out of business in California. Alan worked under Mac, operating an area office in Oklahoma. He obtained the Business Exchange name & still maintains the highest business ethics of a debit/credit system.

Business Exchange is a trade group of over 500 Members. It works just like another checking account. We are adding new clients on a daily basis, most coming from referrals given to us by our current members who are excited by what barter has to offer them and want to share its advantages with others. Our trade brokers give first priority to meeting the needs of our clients, providing them with service that is professional, prompt, and friendly.

Being a member of our barter network allows you the opportunity to have a group of people working with you to build your business. You can use your trade dollars to purchase things you already use to effectively run your business. Some examples of this would be: Advertising, Credit Card Processing Service, Bookkeeping/ Payroll /Tax Services, Phone Service & Repair, Computer Service & Repair, Company Uniforms, Cleaning & Maintenance Supplies, Window Washing, Pest Control, and much, much, more! This is a great way to free up the cash you would normally be setting aside for these expenses. It just makes good business sense.

We provide frequent opportunities for our members to intermingle and market their products or services. It allows you a new outlet for your unused inventory. We have  monthly breakfast and  luncheon meetings, mixers, & trade shows.
